Project Background

The City of Apple Valley aims to improve safety on Ellice Trail between Johnny Cake Ridge Road and Pilot Knob Road. Ellice Trail is a rural roadway with no curb and gutter, poor drainage facilities, and limited pedestrian amenities. The feasibility project will evaluate concepts and request public input to address these issues.

The following are included as part of the project:

  • Safety improvements for all road users

  • Street rehabilitation

  • Improved sightlines

  • Designated pedestrian facilities

  • Improved stormwater management

  • Sanitary sewer and watermain improvements

  • And other improvements!

The feasibility report and preliminary design are anticipated to be completed by 2026. Construction is scheduled for 2027.

  • Improves mobility and safety for pedestrians
